Here's how we approach a typical project with a client, a process that helps ensure we create the best solution for you that meets your communication needs.
1. How Much? It all starts with a fact-finding meeting.
Before we can determine an estimate for you, we need to find out what it is you want to achieve through our services. Sometimes the answer is straight-forward, and other times it can take a bit of discussion to determine this.
We will have a number of important questions to ask you that will help us to determine solutions that best fit your strategy. Here's a sample of what we need to determine:
- Your target market
- Your current branding
- What image and/or message you wish to project
- What benefits are you offering the customer or client
At some point, we will tell you more about us and answer any questions you may have. We can provide samples of work we've completed for other clients.
The meeting should take no more than 30-60 minutes, depending on the complexity of your requirements. We like to keep meetings informal and relaxed so that ideas can flow more easily.
Within 48 hours, we provide you with a detailed estimate. We begin the second step on receipt of a signed approval and deposit.
2. Getting Creative Concept design and roughs
Based on our initial discussions, we will start to produce roughs or concepts. We will work as closely with you as you want. That is, we understand that everyone has different ideas on how they like to participate in the creative process. Some are very hands-on, while others prefer to stay in contact only through the occasional phone call or e-mail. We encourage our clients to participate, but it's not mandatory. It can be a lot of fun and rewarding getting involved in the creative phase of a design project. However, your participation is entirely up to you.
Once the concepts are ready, we will present them in a way that is appropriate and work with you until you're happy with the results. It can take time, but our goal is make sure we meet your objectives and that you're completely happy with the design.
Upon your approval of the concepts, we move on to the production phase - layout.
3. Several Cups of Coffee and The Right Tools - Layout
At this point, the RGB team begins the layout work, based on design concepts approved by you. As we move along, we keep in touch to give you regular status updates and typically there will be questions to answer as everything comes together.
For larger projects, we may implement more formal project management procedures to help us all keep track of the process. We try not to bog down a project with too much paper work, but we know when to use it (that's over 20 years of corporate experience coming to good use for us).
When the work is done, we give you a call…
4. Getting the Solutions to Work For You Implementation
The brochures have be printed and shipped, the web site is now live on the Net, and new logo looks fabulous. What now?
Well, part of the marketing strategy is implementation. That is, we now send the materials out to the right people and markets. Or we get the web site into the search engines as fast as possible, Or send out direct mailings to key contacts.
We can work with you to do all this so that the money and time spent on creating these marketing solutions is put to good use and work for you as best they can.
Our commitment to you is to produce effective visual communication programs that work for you and help your business to grow.
We look forward to hearing from you.
